Transformed a buggy WordPress listing site by optimizing search queries, building a custom admin approval panel, revamping the display layout, and customizing user registration emails—enhancing performance, admin control, and user communication across the platform.

The Challenge

A client running a listing-based WordPress platform was struggling with a poorly structured admin panel, buggy backend code, and no clear way to manage user-submitted content. The platform had potential—but the admin experience was clunky, and the workflows were incomplete.

They needed more than just bug fixing. They needed someone who could transform the backend experience, improve search functionality, and introduce smarter automation—without breaking what already existed.

What seemed like a messy backend challenge turned into an opportunity to streamline workflows, enhance control, and improve scalability. I aimed not only to clean up the code but to build a more intuitive and efficient system for both the admins and end users.

Fixed existing coding bugs in listing queries that were affecting performance and accuracy.
Optimized search queries to improve the speed and relevance of listing results.
Developed a custom listing approval panel in the WordPress admin, enabling admins to review, approve, or reject user submissions easily.
Revamped the layout of the display panel, making it clean, responsive, and more aligned with the site’s UI.
Customized the user registration plugin to send role-based and condition-specific emails—like welcome emails to regular users and listing alerts to admin.
